There are so many factors that might cause your fire alarm to periodically chirp without a consistent pattern. The first cause can be loose or improperly installed battery. Things to remember –
- Use right type of battery
- Use by date products – should be no old than 5 years
- Make sure battery is totally snapped in
- Make sure that the battery compartment door is shut.
The second cause can be environmental conditions including humidity, excess airflow and temperature extremities. If both the cases are not the problem, you can reset the alarm or replace it (if it still won’t work properly).
